Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in civil/geotechnical engineering
- Extensive experience in underground civil/geotechnical engineering
- Proven experience writing technical documentation for site investigations and design
- Proven experience managing contracts for design/site investigation services
- Design of underground structures
- Knowledge of underground structure construction
- Specification and follow-up of technical contract aspects
- Delivering high quality work on time and fulfilling expectations
- Identifying, defining, and assessing problems, taking action
- Openness to original ideas and creative options
- Continually driving change by seeking new ways to improve outcomes
- Adapting quickly and resourcefully to shifting priorities
- Building and maintaining constructive work relationships
- Openness to original ideas and creative options

- Spoken and written English
- Commitment to learn French
- Valid driving licence
Tasks
- Design and construct underground civil engineering structures
- Undertake numerical studies for preliminary designs
- Assess geotechnical work by external consultants and contractors
- Prepare geotechnical technical specifications
- Create geotechnical baseline reports
- Support consultancy contracts for design and construction oversight
- Manage site investigation contracts for geotechnical data
- Oversee external specialist support from University of Geneva
- Collaborate with civil engineering team members
- Provide expert geotechnical support to team
