Senior Buyer - Branded & Partner Store Channel(m/w/x)
Developing core and complementary assortments for Columbia Sportswear's European retail network. Product-driven merchandising expertise required. Product discounts, soft mobility policy, on-site fitness.

- 8-10 years experience in buying, merchandising, or assortment planning
- Apparel, footwear, or sportswear industry experience
- Strong understanding of assortment architecture
- Strong understanding of category management
- Experience with non-integrated retail networks
- Ability to structure assortments for multiple store types and markets
- Experience collaborating with commercial teams
- Experience collaborating with external partners
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced understanding of retail industry
- Advanced understanding of specific retail metrics
- Strong analytical thinking
- Pragmatic approach to decision making
- Experience in sportswear, outdoor or active lifestyle brands (advantageous)
Tasks
- Cluster stores by size, location, and consumer profile
- Define a core assortment structure for the network
- Develop complementary assortment modules for different store types
- Build and manage strategic assortments to meet financial KPIs
- Monitor net revenue, margin, and inventory management
- Analyze sell-out data and manage in-season pricing
- Guide partners in volume and product mix planning
- Propose assortment recommendations aligned with Columbia’s strategy
- Support partners in seasonal unit projections
- Balance brand priorities with local market realities
- Ensure alignment between product strategy and store execution
- Move from case-by-case decisions to a structured buying framework
- Improve clarity and consistency in assortment definitions
- Support the long-term development of Partner Store business
