Description

As a Robotics Engineer, you will enhance CERN's robotic platforms by integrating sensor systems and developing advanced computer vision algorithms. Your work will involve applying machine learning techniques and collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless operations in challenging environments.

Requirements

• •Hands-on experience with camera and sensor systems
• •Solid understanding of computer vision and machine learning techniques
• •Experience in software development using C++ frameworks
• •Proficiency in C++ for robotics and perception software development
• •Experience with computer vision algorithms
• •Knowledge of machine learning techniques and libraries
• •Familiarity with point cloud processing and 3D perception techniques
• •Experience with camera drivers and sensor calibration
• •Understanding of machine learning inference pipelines
• •Ability to debug, integrate, and test perception systems
• •Strong communication skills and ability to document technical work
• •Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for multidisciplinary work
• •Spoken and written English, commitment to learn French
• •Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation experience
• •PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation experience

Tasks

• •Integrate and configure sensor systems on robotic platforms
• •Develop and implement computer vision algorithms for object detection
• •Create image segmentation and pose estimation solutions
• •Enhance 3D perception capabilities
• •Develop and optimize C++ software frameworks for data acquisition
• •Process images and perform sensor fusion
• •Apply machine learning techniques to perception tasks
• •Deploy models using Nvidia Triton Inference Server or similar
• •Debug and optimize camera drivers and network parameters
• •Ensure reliable, low-latency data transfer for real-time operation
• •Collaborate with teams to integrate perception systems into workflows
