Tasks

  • Own MLA and optical assembly processes from NPI to high-volume manufacturing
  • Ensure optical performance, automation architecture, and robust yield
  • Manage disciplined cost and production ramp-up
  • Define alignment and bonding methodologies for performance and repeatability
  • Create process scalability roadmaps for throughput and multi-site deployment
  • Provide DfM feedback for optical component design and manufacturability
  • Define the end-to-end automation concept as Automation Architect
  • Specify requirements for optical alignment and active or passive attach
  • Set requirements for calibration and verification automation
  • Interface with tool vendors to deploy high-tolerance solutions
  • Manage automation roadmaps and deployment timing for NPI
  • Ensure MLA manufacturing readiness through EVT, DVT, and PVT
  • Define tool and process qualification plans for volume release
  • Transfer processes and full documentation to contract manufacturers
  • Support ramp-up, yield learning, and process stabilization
  • Define optical metrology, calibration, and verification standards
  • Analyze root causes for optical performance yield and defects
  • Maintain process capability targets and control plans
