Requirements
- •Experience with 3D CAD software or equivalent
- •Mechanical calculations experience with Ansys or FEM
- •Understanding of strain/stress propagation in metals
- •Ability to prepare mechanical calculation notes
- •English or French proficiency and learning commitment
- •National of CERN Member or Associate State
- •Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering
- •No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract
- •Valid driving licence
- •Medical clearance for occupational health risks

- •Coordinate transport and handling for specific projects
- •Participate in project development and oversight
- •Design installation tooling and specialized machinery
- •Model environments and operations using Catia 3D
- •Define and design handling tools
- •Monitor tool construction and delivery
- •Manage project planning and resource allocation
- •Implement tooling and methods with handling teams
- •Supervise dismantling and installation with field technicians
- •Perform interventions in underground installations
- •Work safely within radiation areas
- •Execute tasks involving heights and scaffolding
