Supporting global philanthropic impact initiatives with daily legal and compliance matters, focusing on Swiss law. Swiss law degree and eligibility to work in Switzerland required. Hybrid and remote work options, 25 days annual leave plus volunteering days.
Requirements
- Eligibility to work in Switzerland (valid work permit)
- Swiss law degree (MLaw or equivalent)
- Solid working knowledge of Swiss law (corporate governance, data protection, regulatory frameworks)
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Affinity with mission-driven or values led work
- Pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
- Organised and deliberate work style
- Relationship building and collaboration skills
- Initiative and quick learning ability

- Careful problem-solving and analytical skills
Tasks
- Support the Legal team with daily legal, compliance, and organisational matters
- Focus on Swiss law in legal and compliance tasks
- Work closely with internal teams and external counsel
- Independently manage defined tasks and projects
- Check and address open legal items, such as data protection questions
- Review and finalize consultancy agreements
- Conduct legal sense-checks on grant agreements
- Translate legal requirements into practical notes for programme teams
- Participate in calls with grant operations and finance teams
- Clarify next steps and flag external counsel needs
- Coordinate with external Swiss counsel on scope and timelines
- Ensure external advice is accurately reflected in internal documents
- Review and update contract records
- Prepare documents for corporate governance meetings
- Ensure regulatory documentation is complete and up to date
- Draft and update internal guidance based on recurring questions
