- 3-5 years legal experience in law firm or in-house
- Meaningful exposure to technology, SaaS, or digital platforms
- Solid working knowledge of GDPR and EU data protection law
- Draft and negotiate commercial technology contracts independently
- Strong business judgment and actionable advice
- Ability to flag real problems and let team ship
- Exposure to AI regulation or advising on AI product development
- Experience with government legal requests or regulatory enforcement
Tasks
- Conduct legal reviews for product launches
- Identify regulatory risks for Proton services
- Draft and negotiate SaaS, vendor, and partnership agreements
- Minimize external legal counsel involvement
- Advise on GDPR compliance
- Handle user data requests
- Respond to regulatory inquiries
- Manage government data requests
- Build legal and governance frameworks for AI features
- Ensure EU AI Act compliance
- Develop responsible data use policies
- Identify gaps in contracts and templates
- Fix internal compliance process issues
- Reduce legal bottlenecks
- Assess regulatory requirements for new markets
- Enable product rollout in new markets
