Lead Systems Engineer - Passive RF Sensing(m/w/x)
End-to-end integration of passive RF sensors for defence AI systems, defining antenna architecture and direction-finding. Hands-on experience with DF architectures and calibration required. Stock options, relocation support, and social/education allowances.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Experience with passive RF sensors for complex platforms
- Understanding of threat radar phenomenology and sensor requirements
- Hands-on experience with DF architectures and calibration
- Ability to specify and validate receiver performance
- Delivery of co-site/EMC mitigation on platforms
- Experience with emitter libraries or classification workflows
- Ownership of interfaces/ICDs to mission computers
- Leadership of verification and test activities
Tasks
- Own end-to-end integration of passive RF sensors
- Translate mission threats into sensor requirements
- Define antenna architecture and placement for direction-finding
- Lead direction-finding performance and RF distribution work
- Specify and validate sensor performance metrics
- Manage emitter library data and classification processes
- Coordinate co-site EMC protection against onboard transmitters
- Plan and execute sensor performance verification tests
- Collaborate with software and avionics teams on interfaces
- Manage technical supplier control and issue resolution
- Maintain interface control documents for mission systems
- Produce technical requirements and flight readiness reports
