Requirements
- Strong background in life sciences (degree or vocational training ideal)
- Desirable: Record of success in key account sales (pharmaceutical market)
- Exceptional networking abilities and relationship building
- Strong project management skills and influence in matrix environment
- Well-structured problem-solving and time management skills
- Fluent English and German; fluent French advantageous
- Driving license and driving experience
Tasks
- Build strong partnerships with key customers
- Achieve annual sales and gross margin targets
- Implement business and customer strategies
- Grow customer spend sustainably
- Deliver value through innovative projects
- Resolve complex pharmaceutical customer needs using life sciences knowledge
- Showcase VWR's vast product and service offerings
- Promote VWR products and services that benefit clients
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer requirements
- Share best practices with account management colleagues
- Drive conformity across customer sites
- Collaborate with preferred suppliers for technical and commercial advantage
- Forecast monthly and annual revenue and profit
- Collaborate with sales team members on shared accounts
- Maintain weekly communication with sales team
- Ensure customer clarity and minimize duplicated efforts
