Requirements
- •Experience with Java back-end development, Kubernetes and DevOps
- •Knowledge of Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- •Aptitude for code understanding and refactoring
- •Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and C++
- •Understanding of concurrency and multithreading
- •Networking knowledge
- •Familiarity with relational databases
- •Basic Kubernetes and Apache Kafka knowledge
- •Familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD, IaC, monitoring)
- •Teamwork skills and design discussion participation
- •English proficiency and commitment to learn French
- •National of CERN Member or Associate State
- •Maximum two years experience since graduation
- •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
- •No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract
- •Ineligibility of PhD holders

- •Redesign and deploy the LHC Post-Mortem system
- •Develop robust Java services using Spring Boot
- •Maintain Java and C++ client libraries
- •Automate system deployment and monitoring via DevOps
- •Scale services within a Kubernetes environment
- •Create comprehensive functional and performance test suites
- •Implement data migrations from Oracle to new storage
- •Collaborate with engineers and physicists on requirements
