Requirements

  • •Background and/or interest in automation and control
  • •Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills
  • •Some experience in Siemens and Schneider PLC platforms or willingness to learn
  • •Knowledge and experience in industrial communications protocols
  • •Proficiency in Python
  • •Some experience of PLC programming using IEC-61131 languages or willingness to learn
  • •Knowledge of Continuous Integration based on Gitlab CI
  • •Initial experience in C#
  • •Spoken and written English or French with commitment to learn the basics of the other language
  • •Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Software Engineering and IT or related field

  • •Develop and maintain the UNICOS-CPC resource package

  • •Evaluate new automation technologies for future controls at CERN
