Requirements

  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to document IT problems thoroughly
  • Troubleshooting and configuring Windows and iOS devices
  • Ability to lift/move/set-up computer equipment
  • Working knowledge of basic hardware and software
  • Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Associate’s Degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience troubleshooting, installing, and upgrading in Windows 7 and Windows 10 enterprise environment
  • Experience troubleshooting in Mac OSX environment a plus
  • Ideally 1 to 3 years of work experience in computer systems or IT support

Tasks

  • Provide desktop and laptop support for Windows and Mac systems
  • Assist users in solving IT problems using hardware and software tools
  • Support, install, and maintain local area networks and related IT peripherals
  • Install and support hardware and software components for user groups
  • Perform preventive maintenance and test equipment
  • Evaluate system configuration and software for effective hardware use
  • Provide positive customer experiences when working with users
  • Use ServiceNow ticketing system daily to triage tickets, escalations, and issues
  • Deploy new systems, including setup, imaging, software installation, and data migration
  • Resolve hardware driver conflicts, user profile corruption, and operating system errors
  • Troubleshoot Symantec, SCCM, and BitLocker encryption issues
  • Configure local and networked printers
  • Install software
  • Support conference and meeting systems, including client-approved software
  • Provide remote access support
  • Configure and deploy mobile devices (iOS and Android)
  • Manage Knowledge Base Articles, including proofreading, revising, and ensuring content comprehension
  • Process security requests involving malicious software and vulnerability investigations
  • Perform other IT Service Desk tasks as needed within the contract scope
