Requirements
- 6 years experience with Undergraduate, 5 with Graduate, or 4 with Doctorate

- Future completion of the IACLP

- Experience liaising with governments or donor community
- Understanding of UNHCR's protection mandate and mission
- Understanding of humanitarian coordination and IASC developments
- Experience in inter-agency coordination role
- Experience drafting joint appeal, refugee response plan, or HRP
- Experience with another UN agency or partner
- Skills in ER-Inter-Agency Coordination Mechanisms
- Knowledge of English and UN working language
- Commitment to safe working environment and zero tolerance for misconduct
- Experience in refugee, IDP, or emergency settings
- Experience with UN and (I)NGO partners and coordination processes
- Understanding of partnership in protection and sustainable programming
- Strong broad management skills

Tasks
- Advise senior management on inter-agency positioning
- Draft briefing notes and talking points
- Promote policies within multilateral processes
- Establish and maintain coordination mechanisms
- Develop joint appeals and response plans
- Engage with government and civil society stakeholders
- Monitor response strategies and inter-agency commitments
- Liaise with counterparts in other organizations
- Inform staff on policy and reform initiatives
- Coordinate internal actions for refugee response systems
- Articulate priorities within the inter-agency arena
- Support evaluations of coordination systems
- Identify and manage operational risks
- Organize regional capacity building and NGO consultations
- Negotiate joint agreements and memoranda of understanding
- Compile inputs for annual reports and documents
- Conduct field support missions as required
- Manage the implementation of the UN Common Pledge
- Oversee cluster activation and deactivation processes
- Maintain a repository of global partner agreements
