Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or training in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering
- Professional HSE certification based on Swiss legislation
- Minimum 7 years of experience in HSE roles within a process manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to draft HSE technical documentation
- Solid knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Self-driven, proactive, and collaborative mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Fluency in English and German (written and spoken)
Tasks
- Ensure compliance with Swiss occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Implement Hitachi Energy policies and standards for the Wettingen operating unit
- Support and consult all hierarchical levels on occupational safety, health, and environmental management
- Conduct opportunity and risk analyses with stakeholders
- Promote quality and safety culture through employee engagement programs
- Conduct training at all hierarchy levels following the Wettingen HSE competence matrix
- Investigate accidents and communicate findings to prevent future incidents
- Plan and conduct internal and external audits for ISO 9001/45001 compliance
- Prepare and implement the yearly site HSE plan and related documentation
- Produce reports for project reviews and attend meetings to ensure HSE system effectiveness
- Review HSE documentation from subcontractors and support them in meeting HSE requirements
