Requirements

  • Advanced medical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD preferred)
  • Clinical experience in Transplant Medicine, Immunology, or Nephrology
  • Experience across role scope in Clinical/R&D/Medical Affairs
  • Expertise in Nephrology, Transplant, and/or Immunology
  • 11+ years in Medical Affairs and scientific leadership
  • Strong track record in strategy development, product development, and launch strategy
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
  • Clinical experience in Nephrology and/or Transplantation
  • Field-based experience (Medical Director, MSL) a plus
  • Clinical development experience preferred
  • Strong scientific acumen and understanding of clinical medicine
  • Strategic thinking, proactive mindset, and execution focus
  • Hands-on leadership, strong collaboration and influence skills
  • Strong intercultural competence and commitment to global diversity

Tasks

  • Drive global medical strategy for BKV program and PDT+ pipeline
  • Build global medical capacity for pipeline product/disease area
  • Support expanded access strategy
  • Serve as global subject-matter expert for pipeline product/disease area
  • Lead cross-functional alignment for scientific excellence
  • Develop and execute multi-year global medical strategy
  • Contribute to portfolio strategy and long-range medical planning
  • Set medical strategic imperatives and ensure cross-functional alignment
  • Develop and execute Global Medical Plan
  • Engage with Pharmaceutical Sciences and Business Development
  • Inspire Medical Strategy Teams and ensure collaboration
  • Provide strategic input to R&D and senior management
  • Own medical budget for product/disease area
  • Drive scientific positioning and pre-launch/launch communications
  • Establish strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders
  • Act as Takeda’s senior representative for external audiences
  • Ensure ethical external interactions with Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory
  • Plan and lead global Advisory Boards
  • Lead Integrated Evidence Strategy
  • Drive cross-functional evidence prioritization
  • Ensure global rigor in data dissemination
  • Lead design and execution of Medical Affairs studies
  • Monitor progress against medical plan and adapt initiatives
  • Build global medical capabilities
  • Foster enterprise mindset and culture of scientific excellence
