Engineering & Support Specialist(m/w/x)
On-site technical support and commissioning for advanced packaging machinery at a global engineering firm. Technical diploma (CFC–ES or equivalent) in electrical engineering, automation, or mechatronics required. Frequent travel for on-site troubleshooting and new feature commissioning.
Requirements
- Technical diploma (CFC–ES or equivalent) in electrical engineering, automation, or mechatronics
- Experience in industrial equipment support, testing, or commissioning
- Strong hands-on hardware/software integration and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP a plus)
- Proactive mindset and strong ownership
- Passion for stakeholder satisfaction
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, solution-orientation
- Collaborative mindset and ease in cross-functional environments
- Clear, concise technical communication (written and verbal)
- Fluency in French and English
- Italian or any additional language (asset)
Tasks
- Provide high-level technical support to teams and customers.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting.
- Commission new product features on-site.
- Monitor product performance.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Plan and execute functional tests for new developments.
- Validate new features internally and at customer sites.
- Contribute to improving testing and validation standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Prepare product configurations for customer orders.
- Prepare software settings for customer orders.
- Deliver training to service teams and trainers.
- Collaborate with R&D, Product Lines, and Service teams.
- Enhance product robustness and usability.
- Draft product specifications and technical requirements.
- Provide field insights for product evolution.
