Tasks
- •Provide expert legal advice on diverse topics
- •Lead work on human resources legal issues
- •Manage the UN internal justice system portfolio
- •Assist the General Counsel with overall management
- •Interpret UN Staff Regulations and Rules
- •Advise on UNHCR's internal legal framework
- •Apply UNDT and UNAT jurisprudence to cases
- •Guide human resources policy development
- •Adopt risk-based approaches to workforce changes
- •Advise on investigations and disciplinary proceedings
- •Review legal opinions for management evaluations
- •Draft legal pleadings for outside Tribunals
- •Represent the organization at oral hearings
- •Liaise with the UN Office of Legal Affairs
- •Manage personnel through coaching and appraisals
- •Integrate risk management into strategic decision-making
- •Allocate resources for planned risk treatments
