Requirements

  • Bachelors or equivalent degree in health-related field
  • Fluency in English
  • German language skills advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in clinical research
  • At least 2 years of experience in line management of staff preferred
  • Proven track record in project management
  • Experience in setting and driving strategy for global trials
  • Strong leadership competencies
  • Fostering an environment for sharing ideas and best practices
  • Proven leadership skills in a cross-functional environment

Tasks

  • Define country strategy and operational plans
  • Assess country site footprint across therapeutic areas
  • Provide leadership and oversight for clinical trial activities
  • Conduct site feasibility, selection, and start-up
  • Ensure quality and scientific integrity of trial deliverables
  • Lead the clinical research team and perform accompanied visits
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to accelerate priority programs
  • Conduct trend analysis and identify training opportunities
  • Drive team performance to meet KPIs and metrics
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to promote clinical research value
  • Co-lead 'One R&D' collaboration with GMA Medical Affairs Head
  • Identify resource needs and manage clinical research staff hiring
  • Maintain team capacity aligned with organizational needs
  • Define optimal team structure for effective collaboration
  • Implement strategies for continuous efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure adherence to global and local regulations and guidelines
  • Promote a quality-driven organization focused on improvement
  • Ensure inspection readiness across all activities
  • Develop a critical thinking organization for risk mitigation
  • Act as country expert for audit and inspection processes
  • Manage functional budget planning and ensure accurate forecasts
  • Communicate budget status and issues for timely decision-making
  • Expand AbbVie's site footprint to support the pipeline
