Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, business, international relations, or events management
  • Minimum two years administrative experience and demonstrated success coordinating events
  • Prior office/administration experience, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborative work and positive culture
  • Excellent oral and written communication in French and English, with empathetic active listening
  • Strong interest in international human rights and commitment to personal learning
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse audiences, including donors
  • Ability to work under pressure juggling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Event planning, community engagement, or philanthropy experience desirable
  • Self-motivation, ability to prioritize, work with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Professional experience using Salesforce and Marketing Cloud desirable
  • Valid work authorization for employment in Switzerland

Tasks

  • Record campaigns, appeals, gifts, and contact information in Salesforce
  • Generate financial reports, lists, and queries
  • Update Salesforce information
  • Schedule and prepare for meetings
  • Take minutes and prepare agendas
  • Process mail and respond to inquiries
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Process and track department expenses
  • Organize logistics for outreach and cultivation events
  • Coordinate HRW's annual Voices for Justice dinner
  • Coordinate conferences and privately hosted events
  • Prepare and distribute internal and external materials
  • Draft, edit, and format documents
  • Translate documents
  • Proofread newsletters, printed materials, and presentations
  • Maintain communication with other departments and stakeholders
  • Respond to general inquiries from the public and internal teams
  • Write gift acknowledgement letters and tax receipts
  • Track communication with Geneva Committee members, donors, and supporters
  • Recruit and train interns
  • Assist with donor research and profiles
  • Perform other required tasks
