Requirements

• •12 years experience with Undergraduate, 11 with Graduate, or 10 with Doctorate
• •Degree in Economics, Statistics, Demography, Data Science, IT, or relevant field

Tasks

• •Lead the global statistical program and activities
• •Advise senior management on critical strategic decisions
• •Serve as spokesperson for global displacement statistics
• •Deliver high-quality population statistics and products
• •Collaborate with the UNHCR-World Bank Joint Data Center
• •Oversee bi-annual statistical reviews with global stakeholders
• •Manage the web-based Population Statistics Database
• •Analyze operational data to inform policy decisions
• •Produce high-frequency population estimates and projections
• •Provide methodological guidance on statistical standards
• •Classify functional standards for statistician recruitment
• •Collate data for global planning and monitoring
• •Select corporate standard statistical software applications
• •Support training to increase organizational statistical literacy
• •Advocate for displacement data in reporting frameworks
• •Represent the organization in intergovernmental processes
• •Lead analysis of the Global Compact on Refugees
