Application Support Engineer – Securities Finance (FIS SFTC/APEX/Finance)(m/w/x)

Description

In this role, you will provide essential technical support for the Securities Lending and Borrowing solution, ensuring system reliability while collaborating with traders and IT experts to drive innovation and improvements.

Requirements

• •Apprenticeship in a technical profession, college diploma, or equivalent education or experience
• •5+ years practical hands-on experience as IT Engineer, Support Engineer, or IT Administrator
• •Basic developer skills in Databases & SQL, Unix & Scripting, Java
• •Experience as DevOps Engineer and CI/CD
• •Basics in Agile/SAFe methodology
• •Ability to communicate with management, business, IT, and vendor
• •Independent, efficient, proactive, and meticulous ways of working
• •Good analytical, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
• •Experience in troubleshooting general IT issues
• •MCSA certification, ITIL foundation certification, or similar education
• •English (business fluent, C1/C2), German (basic, A2)

Tasks

• •Provide end-to-end 1st and 2nd level support for the Securities Lending and Borrowing solution
• •Ensure system availability and manage run-the-bank issues
• •Handle system releases to maintain seamless operations
• •Support business colleagues in their daily tasks and conduct investigations
• •Identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements for systems and processes
• •Participate in daily routines and ceremonies as part of an agile organization
• •Contribute expertise to quarterly Program Increment Planning (PI)
• •Act as a liaison between the team, Central IT, and external vendors
