Project Coordinator(m/w/x)
Analyzing economic data for UN poverty reduction projects and formulating proposals. Advanced degree and 5+ years of international technical cooperation project management required. Work with rotating global development teams.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master’s) in engineering, sciences, economics, business administration, international relations or other relevant discipline with relevant specialization
- Advanced university degree (doctoral) in the relevant discipline
- At least five years of professional experience in technical cooperation project management or portfolio project management including some exposure at the international level
- Ability to research and analyse information independently and recommend solutions
- Ability to write in a clear and concise manner
- Experience in evaluating needs, conditions and problems in developing countries, and in technical cooperation project under the Montreal Protocol
- Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural teams
- Experience/knowledge of other development agencies, donor communities, private sectors, government and relevant institutions
- Experience in evaluating the needs, conditions and problems in developing countries
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Fluency and/or working knowledge of another official UN language

- Identify and justify project possibilities
- Appraise and adjust project proposals for consistency
- Formulate and present project proposals for approval
- Develop project management schedules and methods
- Coordinate with project personnel and service units
- Exchange project information with government officials
- Collaborate with multilateral and bilateral donor agencies
- Monitor project execution through discussions and reports
- Conduct field visits and participate in project reviews
- Utilize project data for corrective actions and revisions
- Organize and conduct project briefings and debriefings
- Support global forum activities for knowledge transfer
- Suggest engagement and outreach activities for networking
