Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in engineering, sciences, economics, business administration, international relations or other relevant discipline with specialization in trade, project management, SME development or Corporate Governance
- At least three years of work experience in an area relevant to the Directorate of Global Partnerships and External Relations, including experience in the administration, coordination or implementation of projects and programmes in international organizations, governmental authorities or the private sector
- Proven communication and coordination skills
- Familiarity with the UN system and knowledge of UNIDO programmes, requirements, procedures, rules and regulations
- Ability to research and analyze information, make linkages with the strategic vision of the Organization, and recommend solutions
- Ability to write in a clear and concise manner
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Russian
Tasks
- Organize and submit project documentation
- Summarize technical materials
- Support internal communications
- Analyze incoming requests
- Identify project issues and deviations
- Draft project document sections
- Reconstruct and document key events
- Monitor project execution
- Propose actions to expedite delivery
- Utilize UNIDO project management tools
- Track purchase orders and ASRs
- Follow up on approval workflows
- Process budget revisions
- Draft and revise budgets
- Ensure compliance with UNIDO rules
- Consolidate project data
- Draft monitoring and reporting inputs
- Inform project participants about logistics
- Support investment promotion events
- Coordinate with national counterparts
- Prepare briefings and background materials
- Support logistical arrangements
- Keep project teams informed of deadlines
- Propose actions to accelerate delivery
- Prepare advocacy and promotional materials
- Support partnership development
- Draft comments on project progress
- Prepare inputs for cross-divisional meetings
- Maintain comprehensive documentation systems
- Perform other related duties
