Requirements

  • •PhD in solid-state physics, NMR, quantum technologies, optics, spectroscopy, or related field
  • •More than 3 years of research experience in relevant area
  • •Passion for physics, curiosity, and open mindset
  • •Strong experimental skills and enthusiasm for hands-on lab work
  • •Programming, engineering, and prototyping skills are a plus
  • •Interest in applied research and solving industrial relevant challenges
  • •Autonomous, self-initiative, well organized, and enjoyment of dynamic multicultural team work
  • •Professional communication skills in English, command of German is a plus
  • •Willingness to relocate to Villach, Austria

  • •Conduct experimental work in the Applied Quantum Sensing team
  • •Design, develop, and test optical solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
  • •Create and evaluate electronic solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
  • •Develop and test magnetic solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
  • •Implement microwave solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
  • •Drive the development of novel quantum control protocols
  • •Implement software solutions for quantum systems
  • •Implement hardware solutions for quantum systems
  • •Manage research projects independently and execute them successfully
  • •Occasionally acquire new projects
