Requirements

  • •PhD or MSc in physics, quantum technology, electronics engineering, or similar
  • •Background in trapped-ion quantum technology
  • •Some experience in semiconductor manufacturing
  • •Experience in industrial environment
  • •Proficiency in English; German or willingness to learn
  • •Motivation and teamwork skills
  • •Willingness to relocate to Austria/Villach
  • •Willingness to travel

Education

Doctoral / PhD
OR
Master's degree

Tasks

  • •Support ion-trap chip development and fabrication
  • •Utilize 200 mm wafer-level technology in cleanroom facilities
  • •Assist in testing developed ion-trap chip devices
  • •Participate in the design and technological advancement of ion-trap chips
  • •Communicate research findings to scientific and non-scientific audiences
  • •Align with industry and academic partners
  • •Contribute to project management activities
  • •Occasionally assist in R&D project acquisition
