Requirements

  • MSc in solid-state physics, NMR, quantum technologies, optics, spectroscopy, or related field
  • Passion for physics, curiosity, and open mindset
  • Strong experimental skills and enthusiasm for hands-on lab work
  • Programming, engineering, and prototyping skills
  • Interest in applied research and solving industrial relevant challenges
  • Autonomy, self-initiative, organization, and enjoyment of dynamic multicultural teamwork
  • Professional communication skills in English, command of German is a plus
  • Willingness to relocate to Villach, Austria

Tasks

  • Conduct experimental work in the Applied Quantum Sensing team
  • Design and develop optical solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
  • Develop and test electronic solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
  • Create and test magnetic solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
  • Design and test microwave solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
  • Drive the development of novel quantum control protocols
  • Implement software solutions for quantum systems
  • Implement hardware solutions for quantum systems

Education

  • Master's degree

Languages

  • English – Business Fluent
  • German – Basic
