Requirements

  • PhD in physics, quantum technology, electronics engineering, or similar
  • 3+ years of experience in trapped-ion quantum technology
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing
  • Experience in industrial environment
  • Proficiency in English; German or willingness to learn
  • Motivation and good communication skills
  • Personnel management experience
  • Willingness to relocate to Austria/Villach
  • Willingness to travel

Tasks

  • Coordinate ITC development and fabrication with project partners
  • Establish infrastructure for testing and operating ITC devices
  • Consult with project partners on ITC design for technological advancement
  • Contribute to the design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization of new ion trap chips
  • Disseminate and report research findings to scientific and non-scientific audiences
  • Align activities with industrial and academic partners in the pilot line
  • Supervise students
  • Engage in relevant networks
  • Manage projects
  • Acquire new projects
