Experimental work in Applied Quantum Sensing, designing and testing optical, electronic, magnetic, microwave solutions for solid-state quantum systems-on-chip at electronics systems research center. Requirements
- PhD in solid-state physics, NMR, quantum technologies, optics, spectroscopy, or related field
- More than 3 years of research experience in relevant area
- Passion for physics, curiosity, and open mindset
- Strong experimental skills and enthusiasm for hands-on lab work
- Programming, engineering, and prototyping skills are a plus
- Interest in applied research and solving industrial relevant challenges
- Autonomous, self-initiative, well organized, and enjoyment of dynamic multicultural team work
- Professional communication skills in English, command of German is a plus
- Willingness to relocate to Villach, Austria
Tasks
- Conduct experimental work in the Applied Quantum Sensing team
- Design, develop, and test optical solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
- Create and evaluate electronic solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
- Develop and test magnetic solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
- Implement microwave solutions for quantum systems-on-chip
- Drive the development of novel quantum control protocols
- Implement software solutions for quantum systems
- Implement hardware solutions for quantum systems
- Manage research projects independently and execute them successfully
- Occasionally acquire new projects
