Manufacturing Lead: Additive(m/w/x)
Directing LPBF 3D printing operations, stabilizing processes for mission-critical components in autonomous factories. 7+ years industrial additive manufacturing (metal/polymer) with R&D to production track record required. Meaningful equity offered.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in industrial additive manufacturing (metal and polymer/composite)
- Proven track record moving AM processes from R&D to production
- Deep understanding of physics of deposition (thermal management, residual stress, material behavior, process parameter optimization)
- Hands-on machine tuning experience
- Strong knowledge of aerospace-grade materials and behavior under additive processes
- Understanding of post-processing requirements (heat treatment, machining allowances, surface finishing)
- Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent aerospace quality standards
- Experience qualifying additive parts for highly regulated industries
- Experience building and leading a team of AM engineers and technicians
- Setting standard for precision and continuous output
- Energized by integration of AI and sensor feedback into printing process
- Desire to build 'first-time-right' manufacturing
- Preferred Dyndrite expertise
- Fluent in German and English
- Preference for shipping parts over publishing papers
- Knowledge of multiple AM technologies and materials
- Presence on factory floor and engagement with hardware
- Willingness to work with software and automation teams

- Define boundaries of deposition technology
- Stabilize processes for mission-critical parts
- Lead team operating industrial printers
- Develop process parameters for components
