Anforderungen

- Excellent knowledge of military satellite communication systems with > 10 years of experience
- Profound knowledge of satellite communications engineering
- Strong knowledge of communication engineering including RF link budgets and antenna designs
- Strong experience in software based systems, networks, and IT infrastructure
- Profound experience in Digital Payload, Ground Station, Spacecraft Control Center engineering
- Experience in design, development, integration, verification, operations of Satellite Coms Systems
- Experience in leading a multi-national engineering team
- Business fluency in English and German (minimum C2 for both)
- Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to integrity
Aufgaben
- Align system modifications and upgrades for SATCOMBw
- Collaborate with Chief Engineers and Lead Systems Engineers
- Supervise acceptance of major system upgrades
- Maintain system performance throughout its lifecycle
- Propose system improvements and modifications
- Participate in system anomaly boards
- Support technical resolution of issues
- Conduct requirements engineering using DOORS
- Follow up on conceptual design activities for satellite communications
- Establish requirements for satellite systems and ground segments
- Analyze end-to-end communications performance
- Lead system trade-offs for satellite communication systems
- Define overall system architecture
- Develop verification and validation concepts at the system level
- Collaborate on operations concept and operational requirements
- Provide technical support to project managers on planning and risk identification
