Anforderungen

  • •Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related Engineering disciplines
  • •Excellent knowledge of military satellite communication systems, preferably with heritage on SATCOMBw
  • •Profound knowledge of satellite communications engineering, including technical interface and data flow
  • •Strong knowledge of communication engineering, including RF link budgets and antenna designs
  • •Strong experience in software-based systems, networks, and IT infrastructure
  • •Profound experience in modern Digital Payload, Ground Station, Spacecraft Control Center, and Payload Control Center engineering
  • •Experience in design, development, integration, verification, and operations of Satellite Coms Systems
  • •Experience in leading a multi-national engineering team
  • •Business fluency in English and German (minimum C2 for both)

Aufgaben

  • •Align system modifications and upgrades for SATCOMBw
  • •Collaborate with Chief Engineers and Lead Systems Engineers
  • •Oversee overall system performance, including user segment
  • •Supervise acceptance of major system upgrades
  • •Maintain system performance throughout its lifecycle
  • •Propose system improvements and necessary modifications
  • •Participate in system anomaly boards and support technical resolutions
  • •Conduct requirements engineering using DOORS for satellite communication systems
  • •Lead conceptual design activities for satellite communications
  • •Establish requirements for satellite systems and ground segments
  • •Analyze end-to-end communications performance
  • •Define overall system architecture and lead system trade-offs
  • •Develop verification and validation concepts at the system level
  • •Collaborate on operations concepts and prepare operational requirements
  • •Provide technical support to project managers on planning and risk identification
