- Excellent knowledge of military satellite communication systems, preferably with heritage on SATCOMBw
- Profound knowledge of satellite communications engineering, including technical interface and data flow
- Strong knowledge of communication engineering, including RF link budgets and antenna designs
- Strong experience in software-based systems, networks, and IT infrastructure
- Profound experience in modern Digital Payload, Ground Station, Spacecraft Control Center, and Payload Control Center engineering
- Experience in design, development, integration, verification, and operations of Satellite Coms Systems
- Experience in leading a multi-national engineering team
- Business fluency in English and German (minimum C2 for both)
Aufgaben
- Align system modifications and upgrades for SATCOMBw
- Collaborate with Chief Engineers and Lead Systems Engineers
- Oversee overall system performance, including user segment
- Supervise acceptance of major system upgrades
- Maintain system performance throughout its lifecycle
- Propose system improvements and necessary modifications
- Participate in system anomaly boards and support technical resolutions
- Conduct requirements engineering using DOORS for satellite communication systems
- Lead conceptual design activities for satellite communications
- Establish requirements for satellite systems and ground segments
- Analyze end-to-end communications performance
- Define overall system architecture and lead system trade-offs
- Develop verification and validation concepts at the system level
- Collaborate on operations concepts and prepare operational requirements
- Provide technical support to project managers on planning and risk identification
