Anforderungen
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Informatics, or related field
- 10+ years professional experience in SAP BW, BW/4HANA, enterprise data warehousing, and SAP/Azure data integration
- Strong hands-on expertise in BW modelling and SAP data extraction
- Proven ability to reverse-engineer and document legacy landscapes
- Clear communication of technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience with Data Warehousing, Data Management, Data Reporting, Data Integration, and Data Analytics
- Exposure to SAP Datasphere, HANA-native concepts, or cloud data platforms
- SQL/HANA modelling and finance reporting domain knowledge
- Experience in financial services/asset management
- German language skills are a plus
Aufgaben
- Co-design a sustainable and scalable Finance Data Platform
- Assess the existing SAP BW landscape, including data models, transformations, process chains, routines, and queries
- Pinpoint technical debt, redundancy, and performance bottlenecks in the SAP BW landscape
- Lead the technical design for BW remediation, simplification, and modernization
- Decide what to retain, refactor, migrate, or decommission within the BW landscape
- Shape the migration path toward the target architecture (SAP Datasphere / BDC)
- Design robust and well-documented data models and transformation logic
- Optimize the existing setup using best practices
- Establish a monitoring process for data flow accuracy and completeness
- Design and implement data quality checks and cleansing processes
- Oversee the data life cycle of the Finance Data Platform
- Own technical documentation of key objects, dependencies, and data lineage
- Lead root-cause analysis for complex defects, performance issues, and reconciliation breaks
- Provide actionable insights from root-cause analysis
- Support the Finance team with ad-hoc data analysis and troubleshooting
- Advise the Team Lead on feasibility, effort, dependencies, and risk for backlog items
- Mentor more junior team members
- Actively apply AI and automation to improve platform standards, development principles, and coding quality
