- Determine thermal loads from hot gas in the combustion chamber
- Design and assess cooling concepts like regenerative and film cooling
- Analyze heat transfer in combustion chambers and cooling structures
- Define thermal boundary conditions and load cases
- Identify thermal risks and propose design optimizations
- Correlate analytical results with test data for design updates
- Document models, assumptions, results, and design decisions
- Collaborate with design, systems, CFD, test, and manufacturing teams
