- Master's student in plastics technology, material sciences, chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or comparable field
- Interest in polymers, silicone elastomers, and their use in injection molding simulations
- Enjoyment of experimental laboratory work and generating valid material data
- Analytical thinking and structured evaluation of measurement results for simulations
- First knowledge in rheology, thermal analysis, or material characterization desirable
- Independent, structured, and careful work
- Communication skills
- Good German and/or English skills, written and spoken
Aufgaben
- Develop and optimize measurement methods for LSR characterization
- Determine relevant material properties of silicone elastomers for simulation
- Generate high-quality input data for injection molding simulations
- Improve prediction accuracy of simulations
- Develop measurement methods for specific heat capacity (cp) using DSC
- Characterize different LSR types with varying filler content
- Analyze the influence of formulation on specific heat capacity (cp)
- Develop methods to determine the density of liquid LSR
- Compare liquid LSR density with cured material density
- Investigate the relationship between density, formulation, and network structure
- Develop measurement methods for viscosity using RPA
- Investigate the influence of altered test parameters on rheological results
- Compare results with existing measurement data to improve the simulation database
