Anforderungen
- PhD in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related
- Extensive industrial R&D/product development experience in elastomers, rubbers or related materials

- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 environments
- Validation mindset, familiarity with regulated or quality-sensitive application areas
- Six Sigma knowledge; Green Belt certification advantageous
- German language skills preferred but not required
- Familiarity with SAP and standard Microsoft Office tools

- Collaborate with customers, validation partners, and cross-functional teams
- Ensure successful project execution from concept through commercialization
- Evaluate complex challenges and prioritize activities based on business impact

- Identify opportunities for platform expansion, process improvements, and product innovation
- Strengthen the healthcare materials portfolio
- Support long-term business growth
- Engage in EHS management systems and comply with EHS procedures

- Drive sustainable technology developments with focus on new silicone elastomer products
- Drive sustainable technology developments with focus on new applications for healthcare
- Lead the technology workstream of NPDI projects as technology owner
- Ensure robust project execution, prioritization, documentation, and timely progress
- Develop technical solutions for near-term customer programs
- Develop technical solutions for broader platform development
- Collaborate with selected customers and validation partners
- Identify and prioritize business opportunities with customers
- Gather voice-of-customer inputs and critical-to-quality requirements
- Build and maintain understanding of customer needs and application requirements
- Build and maintain understanding of market trends in medical devices and wound care
- Formulate, characterize, test, and scale up silicone-based materials and systems
- Develop formulations for silicone-based materials
- Characterize rheology, curing behavior, and analytical properties
- Perform application testing and troubleshooting for silicone materials
- Manage complex, multi-variable development work with conflicting CTQs
- Manage trade-offs related to performance, processability, and manufacturability
- Manage trade-offs related to regulatory constraints
- Apply statistical thinking and design-of-experiments approaches
- Identify and implement robust quality-related methods and test approaches
- Collaborate with QA/QC and Manufacturing on quality methods
- Ensure appropriate technical reporting and documentation
- Maintain laboratory notebooks, technical reports, and project summaries
- Contribute to intellectual property generation through invention disclosures
- Collaborate with IP colleagues to strengthen freedom-to-operate awareness
- Enable efficient development, qualification, and launch of new products
- Lead and develop lab technicians
- Prioritize work for lab technicians
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to lab technicians
- Support training for lab technicians
- Delegate work packages or sub-projects to lab technicians
- Plan, organize, and steer laboratory activities
- Communicate program results, recommendations, and technical risks
