As the Ground Station Sites, Infrastructure and Maintenance Management Team Leader, you will manage the maintenance and evolution of EUMETSAT's ground stations across Europe and beyond, lead a team, and support new satellite programmes.

Anforderungen

  • •University Degree or equivalent in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering
  • •Ability to work effectively in English and some knowledge of French
  • •Experience in management of international engineering teams
  • •Experience in management of industrial contracts for service and product centred procurements
  • •Proven experience in engineering, integration, maintenance and operation of large ground stations for GEO/LEO Earth observation satellites
  • •Experience in RF (L/S/X/K-Band), Receiver/Baseband, modulation/demodulation of TT&C and Payload/Instrument data
  • •Knowledge of ECSS standards and CCSDS recommendations for packet TM/TC, Ranging, RF coding and modulation and SLE services
  • •Design, development, implementation, verification and validation of local and remote Monitoring & Control systems
  • •System engineering skills related to integration of Data acquisition, TT&C, Ranging functions into Ground Segment
  • •Some experience of communications protocols (Ethernet, IP suite, DVB, IP over satellite)
  • •Strong interpersonal and communications skills

Aufgaben

  • •Manage maintenance of EUMETSAT ground stations
  • •Oversee system validation tests and in-orbit testing activities
  • •Manage maintenance contracts for operational ground stations
  • •Lead a team of engineers and service staff
  • •Procure and manage upgrades for ground stations
  • •Coordinate with stakeholders for ground station evolutions
  • •Monitor obsolescence and define evolution strategies
  • •Provide financial inputs for budget planning
  • •Report on implementation status for assigned budgets
  • •Support new programmes during development phases
  • •Provide feedback on operation and maintenance of ground stations
  • •Assist in operations preparation, launch, and commissioning activities
  • •Support RF compatibility and spacecraft SVT infrastructure
  • •Assist with configuration control activities
