- Direct experience operating data platforms at scale
- Strong technical foundation in distributed systems, data engineering, and platform architecture
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with ML infrastructure components
- Experience running high-reliability data services with observability and data quality practices
- Clear communication
- Ability to translate technical challenges into business context
- Experience with AI tools for development acceleration
- Hands-on experience with ML serving frameworks and MLOps tools
- Background in real-time streaming systems
- Experience with data governance, privacy regulations (GDPR), and data cataloging
- Experience with dbt Cloud or dbt Core for data transformation
- E-commerce, marketplace, or quick commerce familiarity

- Shape Data & ML Platform technology strategy.
- Lead architectural decisions and RFC discussions.
- Champion reliability, data quality, and pragmatic engineering.
- Prioritize customer needs in engineering.
- Set operational excellence standards using SLIs/SLOs.
- Implement system monitoring.
- Manage incident response for critical data systems.
- Lead blameless postmortems.
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Automate data pipelines.
- Reduce operational overhead.
- Build self-service capabilities for data consumers.
- Maintain sustainable team velocity.
- Foster an environment where the best ideas prevail.
- Support team members and celebrate achievements.
- Prevent team member failures.
- Prioritize data quality and GDPR compliance.
