Business Development Manager BESS(m/w/x)
Developing go-to-market strategies and sales channels for energy storage solutions across EMEA at a global engineering firm. 3-5 years in energy/power/infrastructure with strong market fundamentals understanding required. Company-owned health insurance, corporate fitness program.
Anforderungen
- 3-5 years experience in energy, power, or infrastructure sector
- Preferred exposure to BESS, renewables, or grid technologies
- Strong understanding of energy market fundamentals, investment drivers, regulatory frameworks
- Focus on EMEA markets
- Strong advantage: experience with utilities, IPPs, developers, EPCs, or engineering firms
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience building/maintaining techno-economic or financial models
- Solid understanding of commercial contracts and technical requirements
- Ability to structure/communicate complex technical-commercial topics clearly
- Strong presentation, negotiation, stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration or comparable discipline
- Advantage: additional engineering/technical background
- Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Fluency in English
- Advantage: additional European languages
Aufgaben
- Shape global and regional BESS go-to-market strategies.
- Support regional sales organizations in EMEA and priority markets.
- Identify and develop new market segments, applications, and business models.
- Identify and develop new sales channels, contracting, and delivery models.
- Analyze market fundamentals.
- Perform market and customer segmentation by region and application.
- Support regional and application-specific go-to-market plans.
- Plan and coordinate marketing activities with Sales and Marketing.
- Develop value propositions, messaging, and market-facing materials.
- Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders on commercial, regulatory, and policy matters.
- Conduct techno-economic modeling of BESS use cases.
- Capture customer commercial, technical, and application requirements.
- Shape competitive and bankable solutions.
- Provide Product Management with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market-driven gaps.
- Support and lead commercial and technical negotiations with customers and partners.
- Develop and maintain deep understanding of BESS platforms and offerings.
- Provide technical-commercial guidance to sales teams.
- Guide sales teams on solution configuration and costing.
- Collaborate with sales engineering, product, finance, legal, and execution teams.
- Ensure scalable and executable deal structures.
