- Experience in design or construction of accelerator magnets or complex electromechanical equipment
- Experience analysing mechanical or magnetic measurements for design improvement
- Experience in procurement of magnets or similar equipment (asset)
- Design and modelling of normal conducting magnets and permanent magnet systems
- Operation and maintenance of normal conducting magnet systems
- Design and analysis of mechanical structures
- Knowledge and application of magnetic materials and electric insulations
- Construction, test and installation of electromechanical equipment and systems
- Accountability: taking responsibility for own actions and decisions
- Effective Communication: providing timely information
- Learning and Sharing Knowledge: proposing improvements to procedures
- Teamwork: working well in groups and participating fully
- Spoken and written English
- Commitment to learn French
Aufgaben
- Design and develop cost-effective magnet technologies for the FCC
- Study and propose magnet manufacturing and procurement strategies
- Plan, organise, and coordinate magnet maintenance, repair, testing, and modification
- Apply gained experience to FCC magnet development
- Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation
- Communicate technical results to stakeholders
