- Strong knowledge of memory management, OOM behavior, swap, caching
- Extensive experience with OS and kernel patching in production/mission-critical systems
- Troubleshooting complex Linux issues under time-critical conditions
- Strong shell scripting skills (Bash) for automation
- Exposure to virtualization/container technologies (VMware vSphere, Kubernetes) is a plus
- Familiarity with automation/monitoring tools (Ansible, CheckMK) is an advantage

- Ensure high availability and security of Linux systems
- Operate and maintain Linux platforms
- Optimize Linux systems for performance
- Patch OS and kernel with minimal downtime
- Troubleshoot complex Linux issues
- Analyze CPU, memory, disk I/O, and networking issues
- Handle production incidents and implement fixes
- Develop and maintain shell scripts
- Collaborate with application, storage, and network teams
- Maintain documentation and runbooks
