- 10+ years relevant work experience in Category Management, Vendor Management, or Purchasing, ideally in retailing or pet industry; e-Commerce experience advantageous
- Proven vendor management and negotiation experience
- Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Experience managing complex projects
- Analytical and strategic thinking
- Ability to structure information and develop solutions
- Understanding customer needs and market requirements
- Enhance customer experience
- Resilience and proactivity
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-energy environments
- Willingness to exceed expectations
- Fluency in English essential
- Additional languages advantageous
Aufgaben
- Manage topline performance and profitability for assigned vendors
- Facilitate all interactions with vendors
- Manage product assortment for profitable growth
- Create new items and identify underperforming SKUs to delist
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors
- Manage promotional activities and resolve operational issues
- Create scale and identify competition and external trends
- Manage day-to-day operations with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Drive strategic negotiations for category growth
- Support Team Lead with Annual Talks and promotional negotiations
- Create growth opportunities through market and competitor analysis
- Review promotion results and adjust strategies
- Identify and resolve vendor performance issues
- Act as escalation point for conflicts between internal teams and vendors
- Audit key metrics and evaluate products and services
- Drive quality of customer experience across vendors and categories
- Implement scalable solutions for customer pain points
- Deliver the Annual Plan
- Lead cross-functional projects as Subject Matter Expert
- Engage appropriate stakeholders and hold colleagues accountable
- Seek feedback and identify areas for personal development
