- Define future direction of the Databricks platform
- Work hands-on with the Databricks platform
- Introduce new Databricks capabilities
- Ensure Databricks platform is secure, scalable, and cost-efficient
- Ensure Databricks platform is production-ready
- Serve as the technical go-to person for Databricks
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and Product Owners
- Work with external implementation partners
- Make architecture decisions
- Troubleshoot complex Databricks issues
- Provide technical direction and hands-on execution
- Evaluate new Databricks capabilities
- Decide which Databricks capabilities fit the environment
- Bring valuable Databricks capabilities into production
- Build, configure, and improve the Databricks platform
- Focus on scalability, reliability, and production readiness
- Introduce and implement Lakeflow, Unity Catalog, and Spark Declarative Pipelines
- Develop scalable Python and Spark frameworks within Databricks
- Develop modern data ingestion architectures within Databricks
- Optimize Databricks platform performance
- Optimize Databricks platform security
- Optimize Databricks platform governance
- Optimize Databricks platform observability
- Optimize Databricks platform cost
- Automate Databricks deployments using Azure DevOps
- Automate Databricks platform operations using Azure DevOps
