- Understanding of castings and rubber components supply base, cost drivers, market dynamics, and cost management/reduction strategies
- Experience with direct material sourcing on a global scale
- Analytical skills with structured problem-solving approach
- Ability to develop working partnerships with Segment and Sourcing leadership
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of SAP, Oracle, and Infor a plus
- Approximately 25% travel including international
Aufgaben
- Develop and drive the category strategy for castings and rubber in EMEA
- Establish strategic sourcing partnerships and lead negotiations
- Implement BVC sourcing strategies to optimize total cost of ownership
- Manage supplier development and consolidation strategies
- Create cost reduction roadmaps and implement supplier segmentation plans
- Influence category strategy direction with business segments
- Align value chain between suppliers and end customers for quality and delivery
- Support divisions within the regional and global supply chain
- Track and report key drivers and market trends historically and forecasted
- Establish countermeasures for market trend fluctuations
- Understand total category costs, including tooling and component costs
- Collaborate with operational purchasing teams for process improvements
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the supply chain
- Report on KPIs and present strategic sourcing plans to senior leadership
