Anforderungen
- University degree (preferably PhD) in Electrical Engineering, mathematics, physics, or similar
- 5+ years experience in power/gas markets and knowledge of physical assets
- Experience with (stochastic) optimization methods
- Financial theory knowledge (financial mathematics, term structure models, stochastic processes) is a plus
- Strong development skills (Python, Matlab, F#, or similar)
- Good communication skills, ability to influence and work with front office and other business functions
- Fluent English, additional languages (German and/or French) is a plus
Aufgaben
- Develop high-performance algorithms for multi-market co-optimization
- Implement bidding strategies for batteries
- Model battery degradation and efficiency losses
- Integrate forecasting inputs into decision frameworks
- Back-test and validate models using historical data
- Improve scalability and runtime performance of optimization pipelines
- Maintain existing tools and processes
- Support pricing team for M&A and Tolling deal valuation
- Collaborate with traders to translate market insights into strategies
- Work with originators to align regulations with quantitative strategies
