Aufgaben
- Clone plasmids for recombinant protein production
- Express proteins in E. coli and insect cells
- Express proteins in mammalian cell culture when required
- Purify proteins and protein complexes using chromatographic methods
- Characterize proteins and protein complexes using biochemical and biophysical techniques
- Crystallize proteins and protein complexes
- Prepare buffers and molecular biology reagents for shared lab use
- Maintain shared protocols, equipment, and standard operating procedures
- Train team members in the use of specialized equipment
- Gather and place lab orders
- Collect lab order receipts
- Monitor lab expenditures
- Manage lab stocks, databases, records, and inventory
- Act as a point of contact for communications with technicians and sales representatives
- Act as the responsible person for toxic waste disposal
- Assist with onboarding new team members
