Anforderungen
- 3–7 years’ experience as Quantity Surveyor in M&E, Building Services, or Construction sectors
- Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Member of RICS or ICES highly desirable
- Valid CSCS card essential
- Strong understanding of M&E systems
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
- Expert knowledge of JCT and NEC contract suites
- Expert knowledge of Standard Forms of Sub-contract
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for on-screen take-offs
- Proficiency in construction ERP software (e.g., COINS, Sage, or RedSky)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Firm negotiator
- Ability to maintain professional relationships under commercial pressure
Aufgaben
- Manage commercial aspects of M&E contracts
- Forensically manage project costs
- Procure specialist sub-contractors
- Administer main contract conditions (JCT/NEC)
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks
- Maximize value engineering opportunities
- Develop project procurement plan
- Manage monthly cost value reconciliations
- Review actual vs. forecast spends
- Lead tendering and appointment of specialist trades
- Ensure back-to-back contractual terms
- Manage variation account
- Cost and submit site instructions
- Coordinate monthly application for payment
- Measure on-site progress
- Manage materials on site
- Review pay less notices and payment certificates
- Ensure compliance with construction regulations
- Identify and manage commercial risks
- Maintain live risk and opportunity register
- Assess financial stability of supply chain
- Provide regular project cash flow updates
- Manage project liabilities and disputed variations
- Arrange and chair commercial progress meetings
- Document post-project financial reviews
- Identify improvements for future bids
