As a MAIT Engineer, you will tackle unique challenges in the development of in-space manufacturing technology, designing and assembling mechanical systems while ensuring the success of critical space missions.

Anforderungen

• •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• •2+ years experience in working with space hardware
• •Experience with milling and CNC machining
• •Experienced with mechanical design and GD&T
• •Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork
• •Fluent in English
• •Familiarity with new spatial environment (2+ years)
• •Knowledge of structural analysis tools (FEM)
• •Experienced with mechanisms for high-precision structures

Aufgaben

• •Support development activities for in-space manufacturing technology
• •Design mechanical breadboards and ground support equipment (GSEs)
• •Produce engineering drawings for mechanical parts
• •Coordinate production of mechanical parts with external suppliers
• •Manufacture mechanical parts in-house using CNC milling and 3D printing
• •Assemble prototypes and flight hardware
• •Perform testing activities from component to system level
• •Participate in qualification campaigns and acceptance testing of flight hardware
• •Support customers during final integration of payloads
• •Produce technical documentation and participate in reviews with external stakeholders
