Anforderungen
- Commercial training/apprenticeship in accounting, finance, or taxation, or university degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Previous experience in financial accounting advantageous
- Professional qualification like Certified Accountant or comparable certification advantageous
- Good knowledge of German GAAP (HGB); familiarity with US GAAP is a plus
- Experience with VAT and statutory reporting beneficial
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable working style
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
Aufgaben
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Assist with US GAAP reporting
- Perform period-end closing activities
- Enter journal entries
- Manage accruals and account reconciliations
- Reconcile balance sheet and intercompany accounts
- Support group-wide consolidation and financial reporting
- Prepare VAT filings
- Assist with statutory reports
- File Intrastat and EC Sales Lists
- Support corporate tax reporting
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accounting standards
- Maintain and develop accounting policies
- Update chart of accounts
- Refine closing procedures
- Support internal and external audits
- Improve accounting processes and systems
- Maintain SAP master data and accounting structures
- Collaborate with international Finance teams
- Support automation and process efficiency
- Work with Shared Service Center on daily accounting
- Guide and oversee outsourced accounting processes
- Facilitate effective communication between teams
