- Proven experience in operating medium to large-scale computing infrastructures in data centres
- Experience in installation and management of high-performance, high-availability commercial server platforms
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or similar) and version control (Git) (advantageous)
- Installation, operation, and maintenance of computing systems
- Knowledge of Linux operating system
- Operation and maintenance of storage systems
- Operation and maintenance of networks
- Structured, organized approach to work; priority setting and task planning
- Effective communication; logical expression of ideas
- Teamwork skills; information sharing

Aufgaben
- Manage data centre infrastructure, servers, and racks.
- Manage networking, powering, and cooling systems.
- Manage desktop computers in control rooms.
- Manage wall screens in control rooms and technical buildings.
- Manage networked data-storage systems.
- Ensure effective system backups.
- Administer Linux computers for accelerator control system.
- Manage control room consoles and data centre servers.
- Manage real-time embedded platforms and virtual machines.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve operational problems.
- Collaborate with end-users, specialists, and operations teams.
- Plan and coordinate annual installations with team.
- Coordinate obsolete equipment replacement with team.
- Collaborate with IT engineers on CERN infrastructure.
- Define hardware specifications for servers and desktops.
