Requirements

  • Master’s program enrollment (Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems)
  • Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, window functions)
  • Good Python knowledge (pandas data handling)
  • Hands-on Google BigQuery experience
  • Querying large datasets
  • Basic partitioning and performance optimization understanding
  • Basic data structures and data modeling understanding
  • GCP (Google Cloud Platform) ecosystem exposure
  • Basic ETL/ELT pipelines understanding
  • Familiarity with Airflow, dbt, or similar tools
  • Initial AI/ML workflows experience
  • Data preparation and feature engineering
  • Awareness of analytics or event-based data
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Independent work with guidance ability
  • Fluent English (German is a plus)

Tasks

  • Support data pipeline development and maintenance
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries in BigQuery
  • Build and manage datasets in Google BigQuery
  • Execute data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation
  • Prepare and structure datasets for AI/ML use cases
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists on feature preparation
  • Contribute to data modeling and transformation
  • Document processes and establish data standards
  • Support data platform and migration initiatives
